How the vial duration math works

The first calculation is independent of reconstitution volume. Divide the total amount in one vial by the amount entered per use. If you have multiple same-size vials, multiply the vial amount by the vial count before dividing.

Supply duration is not storage life

A quantity calculation can say that the amount in a vial mathematically covers a certain number of uses. That does not mean the product remains sterile, stable, or appropriate to keep for that length of time. Formulation, manufacturer instructions, preparation conditions, storage, and product-specific data are separate issues.

BACToBasics intentionally does not convert a long arithmetic duration into a storage recommendation or beyond-use date.

Example quantity calculation

For a purely mathematical example, a 10mg vial with an entered amount of 0.5mg contains 20 full entered amounts. If the user enters two uses per week, the arithmetic supply duration is 10 weeks. Changing the liquid volume would change concentration and draw volume, but not the 20-count quantity result.

How do you calculate how long a peptide vial will last?

Divide the total amount in the vial by the amount entered per use to find how many full entered amounts fit in the vial. Then divide the number of full uses by the entered uses per week to estimate arithmetic supply duration.

Does adding more bacteriostatic water make a vial last longer?

No. Adding liquid changes concentration and draw volume, but it does not change the total amount originally in the vial. The number of full entered amounts depends on total vial amount divided by the amount entered per use.

Does this calculator tell me how long a reconstituted vial is stable?

No. Supply duration and storage or stability are different questions. This tool calculates quantity and schedule coverage only; it does not estimate sterility, chemical stability, beyond-use dating, or storage life.

Can the calculator handle multiple vials?

Yes. Enter the number of same-size vials in the supply and the calculator will total their amount before estimating full entered amounts and duration.

Can I use mg and mcg together?

Yes. Milligrams and micrograms are both mass units, so the calculator normalizes them before doing the division. IU is kept separate because there is no universal IU-to-mass conversion.

Does this calculator recommend an amount or frequency?

No. Both values come entirely from what the user enters. BACToBasics does not use this tool to recommend dosing, treatment, preparation, or frequency.
