What is Selank?
Selank is a synthetic seven-amino-acid peptide, Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro, developed from tuftsin-related peptide biology. It has been investigated for anxiolytic and neurobehavioral effects.
What human evidence exists?
Published human studies include comparative trials in people with generalized anxiety, phobic-anxiety, and somatoform disorders. These studies reported anxiolytic effects, but much of the literature is regional, modest in size, and not part of a U.S. FDA approval program.
